About R & D
The National Veterinary Institute (NVI) is mainly engaged in research on veterinary vaccines and diagnostic kit development as well as on other related areas. Currently, the research and development directorate has five well equipped research laboratories including virology, serology, bacteriology, molecular biology and nutrition laboratories. Six new laboratories of proteomics and cellular immunology, cloning, bacterial zoonoses, diagnostic kit development, mycology, fish diseases and sequencing/bioinformatics are being established and will become functional soon. The research activities are being carried out with experienced and qualified researchers and laboratory technologists as well as in collaboration with different national and international academic and research institutes.
